IP Fabric can integrate with all leading Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools via API, including Illumio, Guardicore, Datadog, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics. IP Fabric ingests application definitions and labels from these tools, and maps out the network devices and paths that each application relies on to deliver critical services. IP Fabric can also manually create applications, or ingest applications from manually curated data.

It depends on how many devices / cloud objects you have in your environment, and the scope of your desired snapshot. Your first full snapshot with IP Fabric may take a few hours, but subsequent full or partial snapshots take just a few minutes.
Most IP Fabric customers run at least one snapshot per day, but you can schedule automated snapshots to run at your desired cadence. If needed, you can also run full and partial snapshots on demand for quick troubleshooting and analysis.
No, IP Fabric does not use Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) for network discovery. SNMP does not discover all vendors, and can’t reliably map topologies through Layer 2 and Layer 3. Instead, IP Fabric discovers the network with API and CLI (Command Line Interface) calls. It starts from a single IP address, and hops to all neighboring devices until 100% of the network is found. This discovery process is completely vendor-neutral, resulting in a fully normalized model of your network state and behavior across Layer 1–Layer 3 topologies.
AI projects can’t be successful if they don’t have a reliable source of network data. IP Fabric acts as that data source, providing normalized, structured insights that are contextualized by an app-aware model of cloud and network behavior. These insights are easily accessible via API or enterprise-grade MCP server.
IP Fabric can also be used to validate that every AI agent is acting according to business intent. It does this by taking regular snapshots of on-prem and cloud environments, and comparing them against business intent. If your AI agent deviates from intent, IP Fabric will flag it and send webhooks to external tools to initiate remediation. During this process, IP Fabric does not push any changes by itself; this maintains a Segregation of Duties (SoD), which is essential for proper AIOps governance.
