IP Fabric is thrilled to welcome Jonathan Korntheuer as our new Chief Finance Officer. With a decade of experience at McKinsey and One Peak, Jonathan has led investments in rapidly-growing technology companies around the globe.
This week, Jonathan sat down with us to discuss his vision for IP Fabric, as well as his thoughts on the future of AI in network operations.
Let’s start with the basics. What brought you to IP Fabric?
After starting my career in consulting at McKinsey, I spent 6 years as a growth investor at One Peak. I loved working with truly innovative scale-ups, including IP Fabric, where we as One Peak led the Series B in 2023. After six years as an investor working mostly on board-level topics, I was keen to move to the operating side and get deeper into the details. Now I’m excited to focus all my attention on a single company—especially since it’s one that I know already.
From an investor perspective, how do you see enterprise AIOps and agentic AI evolving in the next few years?
Everyone wants to automate their infrastructure as much as they can. However, there are three prerequisites if you’re looking to build autonomous network operations.
- You need to know how your network is behaving now from end to end.
- You need this network data to be available in a form that AI agents can access and understand.
- You need to be able to validate that your AI is behaving as you intended it to.
Confident automation comes from having total visibility and control over your infrastructure, which is exactly what IP Fabric delivers. With the rise of enterprise AIOps and agentic AI, the need for IP Fabric will only increase.
How does finance play a role in innovation?
As a former investor I hope to bring a growth mindset to finance. I think of finance as an enabler across the business; it provides data and transparency, while also finding and unlocking potential. This can help all functions to execute at the highest level as we continue on IP Fabric’s growth journey.

What do you hope to accomplish at IP Fabric?
I’m here to empower all parts of the business to make the best decisions and investments. I’ll find the places where things are going well already, and use that as a jumping-off point to help teams to build something that’s greater than the sum of its parts. Ultimately, it’s about realizing the vision of our founders to establish end-to-end visibility and control of the network, opening up possibilities for automation and AIOps in the process.
How do you unwind outside of work?
Living in central London, I love getting out of town to visit the English countryside whenever I can. However, I also love what London has to offer in terms of art and culture, and especially its vibrant food scene. If we’re out to dinner, you’ll probably find me poring over the wine list. If you asked me for my favourite wine pairing, I’d probably say: fried chicken and champagne.
